Director Asset Management Residential, Nordics to CBRE IM

CBRE Investment Management's Nordic Residential platform with investments in Sweden and Denmark is undergoing significant expansion, driven by ambitious growth plans across the region. To support this exciting journey, we are looking for an Asset Management Director to join our Stockholm-based Nordic team.

This senior position combines hands-on asset management with strategic direction-setting. You will serve as the primary point of accountability for portfolio performance in the Nordic region, integrating CBRE IM's EMEA-wide platform standards while responding to the specific dynamics of the Nordic residential markets.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of CBRE IM's Nordic Residential platform while working within a leading global investment manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own the strategic and financial performance of the Nordic residential portfolio by defining objectives, developing business plans and delivering against budgets and performance targets

• Drive asset value through leasing strategies, capital investments and hold/sell analysis

• Act as guardian of quality, standards and disciplined delivery of business plans

• Act as the key link between the Nordic platform and CBRE IM's EMEA organisation, contributing market insights, investment recommendations and portfolio reporting

• Closely work together with the EMEA Residential leadership team with a direct reporting line into the residential sector head in EMEA and as part of the leadership team be responsible for the implementation of platform initiatives in the Nordics  

• Embed CBRE IM's sustainability strategy throughout the asset management lifecycle

• Drive leasing performance and tenant satisfaction by shaping customer strategies and collaborating with property managers and leasing partners

• Leverage data analytics and PropTech solutions to improve operational efficiency, portfolio performance and the customer experience

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Asset Management team while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture  

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the Nordic region and the wider EMEA platform

• Ensure high standards of portfolio governance, reporting and decision-making across the Nordic portfolio

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field; additional real estate-related qualifications are a plus.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant real estate experience ideally in direct asset management roles focused on residential or mixed-use assets in the Nordic markets

• Previous leadership experience is an advantage but not required.

• Strong financial modelling skills

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multi-cultural team

• Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and practical experience of sustainability-led asset management

• Experience working with PropTech platforms relevant to residential asset management, including building management systems, energy monitoring and CRM systems.

• Fluency in Swedish and English is essential; Danish is highly advantageous.
